Dorothy Thompson announces the release of her latest promotional eBook, "A Complete Guide to Promoting & Selling Your Self-Published eBook." She will also be touring - virtually, that is - blogs throughout the nation, giving interviews and talking about how to promote your own eBooks. You can find out which stops she'll be guest blogging at her "Ebook Promotion for Self-Published Authors" blog. Dorothy was also interviewed for the celebrity tabloid "OK!" this month to discuss the Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn relationship. Also, she will be the guest of honor at the Authors Chat Lounge 2 on Monday, December 4, EST. On September 30th, 2006, Marilyn Celeste Morris was a guest on Weatherford College sponsored radio program, Books and Authors, QX-FM89.5. Host was Linda Bagwell, of Weatherford College, Weatherford, TX, who brings authors from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to the studio to discuss their books, the writing process and other topics of interest to readers and writers. Marilyn answered questions about her three books, Sabbath's Room, a supernatural murder mystery; Once a Brat, the story of her life as a Military Brat from her birth in 1938 to her father's retirement in 1958; and her latest release, Diagnosis: Lupus: The Intimate Journal of a Lupus Patient. She found it interesting that was was present at the time an appropriate theme song was chosen for this spot: "Paperback Writer."
Jen Nipps attended the Ozark Creative Writers' conference in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, on October 12-14. She won two honorable mentions in their associated contest: 3rd Honorable Mention for "Childless" in the L&L Poetry Prize and 3rd Honorable Mention for "Beyond Reality" in the Porter Arts Enterprise Poetry Award. She is currently working on a book tentatively titled "Blue Jeans & Tennis Shoes: Working from Home" about work-from-home opportunities. To that end, she has created an interactive blog where readers can ask questions in the comments or send them to bjtsworkfromhome@ hotmail.com. They can relate to entries on the blog or general questions they have. The questions will be answered on the blog, though they can remain anonymous if they prefer.
Janet Elaine Smith has moved all 14 of her novels from PageFree Publishing to Star Publish, where she has also been appointed Marketing Director. Her first books were available in Sept., and by the end of September 8 of the 14 had already been released. She is pleased to announce that "I even had enough sales just in September to get a pretty decent royalty check in October."
(Royalties are paid quarterly, so she missed out on the first two months of her first quarter.) Janet is also hosting two shows weekly on Internet Voices Radio. The first one is Marketing for Fun and Profit! and the second one is Vamos a Hablar Español (Let's talk Spanish). The Spanish
broadcast is now being listened to in all Central and South American countries except Bolivia and Brazil. Internet Voices Radio has had over 30,000 downloads of their programs in just a few short months, in addition to the people who listen while it is live.
Barbara Williamson-Wood, is not only an acomplished writer and author she is very versatile in her writing abilities. Poetry has always been a passion of Barbara's . She has recently wrote and sent the following poem to Governor Brian Schwietzer of Montana as a tribute to Montana and it's citizen. The Governor was so moved that he sent her a hand written letter of appreciation.
